First Baptist Church of Birmingham, Michigan
 is a congregation with a history and character
 dedicated to mission and ministry
 in the spirit of Jesus Christ.

Set in the heart of downtown Birmingham,
the church has a reach across the Detroit Metropolitan Area,
the State of Michigan, the nation, and the world.

We value the diversity among us and are a people engaged
 and committed to the work of biblical justice and peace.

Through the witness of the congregation,
the expression of Baptist tradition comes in ways
 that may be surprising to some.

However, we embrace that tradition and
are thankful for the great heritage we share.

A first hand encounter with God in Christ through worship,
discipleship and mission is a vital element of our hope
 for our life together.
