YOUTH MISSION TRIP: EMOTIONAL AND LEARNING EXPERIENCE
A Recent Mission Trip:
The older youth group went to Ronald McDonald House in Detroit to serve lunch to the guests staying there. During discussions one Sunday morning the question was asked, “Why should we do this, what does it have to do with God?” The response was immediate, from a teen came “Feed my sheep.”
The group met during Sunday School to plan the menu, handle logistics, and learn more about the work of Ronald McDonald House, its connections to the community that it serves and why what we intend to do makes a difference.
The group met with families of seriously ill children and provided them lunch and friendship.
The experience was one of learning, compassion and gratitude.
